the end of season 4 is beginning in August with Metalocalypse
there is no known Season 5 for VB ~yet~
I'd be willing to bet that Doc and JP are working toward something big with this half of the season, and once it airs, [as] will decide if S5 is a go

I hope [AS] will give Venture Bros. at least one more season after the fourth.
Also, I wonder if they will really make the rumored Brock Sampson spinoff.

I'm gonna hafta assume that since there's been no indication that season 4 is the end, that there is definitely going to be a season 5...
I'm not gonna rule out the hope of a feature-length movie...
that, would be _awesome_...

This show is very deserving of a fifth season! I'm sure they would easily get the green light for it. Also, a Venture Brothers movie would make my life! Regardless of whether it would be an animated or live-action film, I would definately go and see it. If not a movie, than a television special (which of course, has already been confirmed by Jackson Publick)
By the way, 2 months and 3 weeks left until they air season 4.2

I don't see those changes as a bad thing at all, and it's precisely because of them that I trust Doc and Jackson to fully utilize a new season. Where will they go from here? The same could be asked after the second season, and then in the third season they took the show off in an entirely new and interesting direction. That's why I trust them to continue to take it in new directions. Which, personally, I'd prefer to the show just stagnating, the concept growing old and the characters never developing.
As far as I'm concerned, the show is the same in all the places that matter. The characters are still the same, they've just changed in some fairly superficial areas in response to the changes around them. Really, you're just seeing more dimensions of their personality, which I find fascinating. The humor's still the same. It still appeals to the same people. I find it hard to believe that people wouldn't enjoy this Venture Bros. equally a much as the earlier episodes, if they didn't feel as if they had been unexpectedly robbed of the show they loved and wanted more of.
But if you get around that feeling, Venture is still as enjoyable as it ever was. I trust it to continue being enjoyable. Possibly, more than I trust any other show to continue being good after five seasons.

Yeah, that's understandable. No one likes unexpected change. But the show's still as high-quality as it ever was, as far as I'm concerned.
I did notice that I thought season 3 moved at too fast a pace for me at first, but rewatching it it wasn't nearly as fast as it originally seemed. Things seem much different when you're watching them for the first time, because you have all these expectations of them and what you want them to be, which keeps from appreciating them for what they are.
So yeah, maybe try watching it again.
