I am Greatly Wondering what the song is that is playing at the beginning of the second (3rd counting pilot) episode of V.B. it is the music that plays at the intro "film" when Dr. Jonas Venture Sr., is talking about science or something...i thought it would be on the album but it is not...any help whether it be the song title or a .mp3 of the song itself woudl be VERY Helpful...even if you dont know the song it is often played in other episodes...specifically when Dr.J.V. Sr. is around...

Please help..

That's probably an original Thirwell piece. It's also probable that there wasn't enough room on the CD for all of the music that he's written for the show over the past three seasons, so that was one that was left off.

is there anywhere to find out the name or anyting...i mean i found the music for the show lineup online for pete's sake and that's royalty free music...(mandeer - asian beets culture) so finding this shouldn't be that hard...plus it sounds like something adult swim would have put on their download section...same with the adventure theme which is only a ringtone for like 2 bucks atm...

Way ahead of you...i already posted a topic it's one of 4 topics on Thrilwell's site (notice the third "L") anyway i was hoping that fan's would know the answer faster since they are constantly scouring the internet...and in the past responses from "celebrities" tend to go nowhere... i also sent an email to JGT's email on his site... so i hope he responds...anyway...thanks for posting and not burying this faster than the show "stella"...

too bad it's got VO's over it...oh well maybe someone has figured out where to find a .mp3

i think (not positive) that the same music is used on the menu of the ssn 1 dvd....

maybe that's a source ...?

But I just always assumed that was generic 50's/60's you always hear when watching those education tapes or when someone is shopping (it always makes me think of women shopping for some reason). Unless of course I'm remembering it wrong. Either way, I'll keep looking to see what I can find.

thanks...ill try to figure out this "myspace" thing...i though about his deviantart profile..but i mainly stick to the good old fashined telephone...

the video can be easilly found by going to googe.com typing "careers in science" and then click the video tab and it is the first video showning the venture family in their space suits...the song is the first thing you hear...i think it is agains the rules to post the link but i can tell u how to find it...lol

hmmm...i consider myself an "old" nerd...ie i love the game myst and have used a 3 button square mouse...so this whole myspace thing is **♣ lucky charms ♣ ** with me...plus im too lazy to create an account to ask a question...even though i did that for JG Thirlwell's site and on this site....even though i registered a while ago and forgot...actually i think i had a myspace at one point...i think i wanted to email sarah chalke/ elliot reed from scrubs...lol didn't work oh well technology is wierd...yes i know i spelled weird wrong thats just the way i like to spell it...im wierd that way...Thirlwell prolly did the song...even though doc wrote that specific episode...

Thanks, I'm sure I can find it. When I can peel my husband away from the basketball game, I was going to double check my DVD. I do know that if Thirlwell didn't actually make the music, Doc might have. He's often the one responsible for adding in some of the artistic and sound effects details.

my dad is watching the game....He just got Quantom of Solace in the mail and he wants to watch bball...oh well futurama s1e1 is on ...way better than overpaid skinny guys going back and forth more times than a tennis ball...

I got that, thank you. It is rather hypnotising when you just sit and listen to it. It's funny how much the music in the show affects the fans. Discussing the music gets almost as many posts as some of the episode discussions.

srry to double post...for some reason i can't edit my last message, yes i know how to do that but it wouln't let me...oh well.. im still stuck in the little rock airport...plane is delayed an hour or so and that means we have to make a later connection in ATL well...so that **♣ lucky charms ♣ **..but not as much as the TSA thinking my external harddrive is a suspicious device...it's huge and metal they asked me if i had a dvd player with me as if that is some horrible type of contraband...oh well...i was thinking of looping the first couple seconds although i think there is a "slide change" sound before the doo's begin...i hope JGT emails me soon as i am very impatient...i am hating this overkill waiting in the airport...the free internet is nice but there aren't any power outlets in the vicinity of the waiting area...the closest one is behind some lady who obviously takes her job way to seriously...she checks the tickets..i used to do the same thing at the zoo taking tickets for the carousel...it;s not a job you need to have gone to school for...i realize i;m ranting but im bored and this is kinda entertaining...i wonder if she thinks that suit makes her look important...oh well at least she has a job...im going to be interning at a television station this summer...HEAR THAT adult swim...i can produce television broadcasts...plus i work for cheap...

I just noticed something while watching the 2nd season DVD. If you put in the second disk of season 2 there is a 41 second clip of that song plays at the main menu. You're best bet would be probably to record it from the DVD itself. Hoped I helped

just a "me" update for whomever cares...well my flight to charlotesville VA was supposed to leave Atlanta at 3:30 our Little Rock plane arrived at atlanta at 4:00, so it was already late...THEN the plane that was supposed to leave ATL at 3:30 BOARDED at 9:00 PM!! so we were in the airport roughly six hours longer than expected...LUCKILY we redtagged all our carryon luggage which was smart cause if we didnt our luggage would have gone anywhere...so thats good...i just hope our sunday flight is on time caus i got classes monday.... oh well....dont trust the airlines...

ps if someone wants to rip the audio from the dvd for me that'd be great....my only request is to do it right and do it clean...no tape recorders held up to a tv...im sure someone has some video editing software..i'd do it myself but i am lazy...and i have no idea how to do it...my brother would but i bothered him about resizing the family guy/jurassic park picture so thats his favor for me this week oh btw if anyone wants the resized pic i can send it to you...i just made it fit my laptop screen without distortion...i.e. .altered the size to the full width and added  black "widescreen" bars...

so yah...and if i can't (not allowed) to send it then ignore previous paragraph...
