Regarding that drawing...

In the last Xavier bump they displayed a drawing by PFFFR.
Take a good close look at it.
It seems that PFFFR wants to shatter our puny minds with an Xavier movie.
So who else wants to see Xavier strut across the silver screen? Maybe in Real D Cimema at IMAX?

i would also enjoy that.

although i do enjoy the cram-as-much-as-possible-into-eleven-minutes technique, it'd be neat to see what they could do with more time.

Didn't they mention this in the interview they did with The Onion? If so then it seems the movie really is going forward. BEST NEWS EVER!

I love the format of the show but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't excited to see what they did with an hour/hour an a half (feature length is 60 minutes minimum so it could be that short/long). I can't even imagine how Meta that could get with over an hour running time, assuming the film has one main storyline littered with many small ones.

This also seems likely because of the fact that the show is cheap to make so the movie wouldn't cost PFFR/Adult Swim an arm and a (backwards knee) leg.

I agree.  Considering that one season of Xavier is roughly 100 minutes total,

a feature-length movie is possible in the same timespan (& cost?) as a season of shows.

All I can say is that they better be very, very careful who does the publicity for it.

Who knows what damage will be wrecked if it's not handled carefully.

I see that money and reality have both been on the rise lately.

That's a good sign, right?

i hope there'll be a movie but i dont expect one cause X:RA is a very original, but underrated show. they would have trouble maintaining the show's integrity while trying to switch it to the big screen.

That's a reasonable statement, but after seeing a few hours of X:RA, reading a few interviews with the creators, and witnessing Wonder Showzen, I really believe it's unfounded. I'd really like to see what they can do with it, they've got (what seems like) the perfect format/medium for them, so I vote to let them get as deep down the rabbit hole as they can. My main protest would be about the show's popularity. I have exactly no clue how popular the show is, and I'm not really sure it has the fanbase for any kind of box office release. I may be (and wouldn't mind in the least if I was) wrong, but it is something that seriously needs to be taken into consideration. If it bombed catastrophically it could destroy the show and the creator's interest in it. Anything on that scale is a bit premature in my opinion, just because I feel like this show should be given another season or two to further expand the fanbase. It really seems like it's coming, and I wouldn't put it past this show to eventually become more popular than a lot of other [as] titles. This all applies if they're just talking about a big screen release.

If it were just a DVD release I wouldn't really be able to form any kind of opinion on that because my girlfriend is hovering over my shoulder and I'm getting a strange sense that I'm getting the 'god you're a geek' look without even seeing it.

Later maybe

A theatrical release is 100% completely out of the question. I guarantee that the words "theatrical release" never even left PFFR's or Adult Swim's mouth. It def. isn't popular enough and there simply isn't any distributor who would dare TRY and release it. You just can't market something like that to a general audience. I don't ever want children but I would have one just to give up in order to see a theatrical screening but it just won't happen unless PFFR or AS employees put up their own money to finance a (very expensive) print of the film.

There is a cool theater here in Atlanta that plays Cult films (just saw The Room last night! Pure bliss) and AS might possibly play a DVD of the film there which would be great but a theatrical release involves film prints which, as stated, cost an insane amount.

Good lord.

I would cream my jeans to see this sand seeker 9-feet-tall on the big screen.

I love the idea. I'd prefer 2D, low-budget, ATHFCMMFT style. I sat in a movie theater with gum and soda on the floor. You know the ones with hypodermic needles in the seats. That's how I want to see Xavier.

maybe only select theaters would play it, like art houses and cool urban theaters, I would have much respect for that major indie cred

I wish I could have gone to that. I'm dying to see Final Flesh. I didn't even know that it was done and this is from last year! As far as I knew they had only completed a script. For people that don't know Final Flesh is an Avant-Garde Porn flick scripted by PFFR and I guess they actually made it too. I can't even imagine what an "Avant-Garde Porno" is but it sounds fun.

I concur, a theatrical release would not do justice for the show.  I don't even think a DVD movie would fare all too well, but it would be nice to see, like an hour long episode?
