I'm thinking about starting to watch Xavier. I saw a couple episodes recently and, while I didn't really laugh all that much, I couldn't stop watching, probably because of the animation and the way they speak. It's unusual. So why not? I'll give it some more chances.

At first, I couldnt stand it. But ever since that Cookie/tampon episode, it has me a little intrigued. Im gonna give it more shots.

That being said I give it a fair shot and watched every ep even though I almost had to tie myself in the chair to do so.

Xavier has replaced Couch Mcguirk and Carl as my role model.  I love that guy.

The only thing about the show that throws me off is the frequent angle changes.  Other than that, this show is golden and is one of the few shows where I can't understand why some can't find the humor.

The way they twist metaphysical concepts in most episodes is really cool. I also like the way some of the animation messes with your head. (like that "pain" bit). It is not meant to be funny in the classical way.

I actually don't know why so many people are repelled by it's alleged "weirdness", though... Seems like a plus to me.

And I never even saw more than a few minutes, maybe an episode, of Wonder Showzen (I don't get MTV2, so I only see it when I'm visiting people who do...).

Makes perfect sense to me.

To reiterate, I really don't see why people consider this "weird" or even hard to follow, especially for an [as] show... Not liking it is one thing, but not liking it because it "makes no total sense" is another.

It just seems like you haven't even *really* watched it, if you can't "get it"... You don't need to be a stoner or have doctorate or anything, you don't even "need" to over-analyze it (Not that I understand people's criticism of doing so)... That's fine if you don't like it, but it's probably good to actually know what's going on before you dismiss it as "retarted"...

That's the funny thing about it, because it's like Xavier (the character) doesn't "get it" either.  He's like one of those shamanistic hippies that thinks he can change the world with his esoteric teachings, but since he doesn't fully understand them himself he causes disaster and destruction in his wake.  I think that's a very funny concept, because no one is getting it.

And I never really considered it, but it so closely mirrors the way a lot of brain-dead pseudo-hippies live their lives and "sell out" to hock ludicrously over-priced New Age healing products (snake oil).

Xavier is all about the word play. Plain and simple, if you don't beleive me check out the shows sound board.

I love xavier, while I don't like anything that has to do with cg and comedy coming together, This show hasn't let

me down yet.

This show used to freak the **** out of me, but it's now addictive. I like the weirdness of it and how it doesn't make a bit of sense (kinda like myself). Also, I wonder what X would look like as a regular human......(*sighs*)
