fun fact about orion
the stars featured are different
in that they all came from the orion nebula.
unlike nearly all constellations
the stars in Orion are relatively close together in space

Minor clarification......and it's WAY after the fact so my bad....but...Sirius is not on Orion's Belt.
Sirius is actually the eye of Orion's dog and is not part of the collection of stars making up Orion himself. You have to look (as Orion is oriented) to his lower left.
If your sky is clear enough, you'll see the classic box with 3 belt stars in the middle....then you'll see the arc of stars forming his bow on one side.
Sirius is the brightest star in the sky(after the sun) so it's unmistakeable on the other side of Orion (opposite the bow)
Just sayin'
BTW....even last night, the alignment in Atlanta's night sky of the Moon, Venus and Jupiter all in a row is pretty gangster looking.
